Nice.! Good idea for using digital images from the Hubble. I think I used the same image for a to show the vastness of the universe to show scale distances and sizes of stars vs. galaxies. I didn't even think about embedding a Voice Thread, but now that I see how it can be done it'd be cool to post one to a class wiki or blog.
Caryn Students have the option as to how they want to comment. Not all comments will have audio. You can comment on voicethreads using a text option, phone call, audio, as well as a couple of others...
This is very cool! It is fun to see an example with real students, the seem like they had fun with it? What was their response after completing the assignment? Is this the only one you did in class, or were their more? I am fortunate that almost all of my students have computer access at home so Voicethread is definitely a tool that I am interested in using. Thanks for showing your classroom example!
WOW - this is so cool. Thanks for sharing. I look forward to exploring this tool more.
ReplyDeleteYes, it definitely looks cool and it's working for the first square, but then i don't get sound for any of the other squares?
